Bus Transportation for Friday – IMPORTANT

As you are aware, there will be a NOON Dismissal this Friday, December 22nd after the choir field trip.  If your student is an afternoon bus rider and will not be riding the bus home on Friday, you MUST contact Ms. B in the front office by Wednesday, December 20th.  Ms. B is going to be contacting all the transportation departments at 2:30 pm on Wednesday to let them know whether or not to send a bus to our school on Friday, December 22nd at NOON.  Your cooperation in contacting Ms. B would be greatly appreciated on this matter!  Thank you!!

Drivers for the All School Choir

Please contact Ms. B in the front office as soon as possible if you can be one of our drivers for the All School choir field trip to the Adult Day Center next to Newark Hospital on this Friday, December 22nd at 9:45 am.   Please do this even if all you are bringing to the day center is your own students.  Ms. B needs to provide a chart of the drivers and their passengers to make sure no student is left behind : )  If you have already contacted Ms. B before today, please confirm with her by tomorrow.

PTA News

The next PTA meeting will be held on Friday, January 5th at 10:30 am.  If you plan on attending the meeting, it is helpful if you contact Shelley at (mmorgan11@rochester.rr.com or 585-752-9773) or through the PTA Remind App, so that she can notify of any changes that might occur.

Current Fundraiser:  Remember to take a look at your Kidstuff Coupon Book. The sale of these books continues through our Christmas vacation to January 2, 2018.  In the bag that was sent home last week, you will find a sample coupon book, an order form (which contains codes for out of town and out of state editions for out of town friends and family!), an envelope, and information for promoting the sale on social media.  These books make great Christmas gifts and our school receives 50% of the profit from selling these books–$12.50 per book!  There are many great coupons inside for family friendly activities, restaurants, and stores.

Please contact Dawn McIntyre at 315-573-2618 or dpmcintyre888@gmail.com if you have any questions about the sale.

All money and orders and unsold books should be turned in to your child’s teacher by January 2.  Orders will be filled first from a supply of books at school and we will order additional copies as needed as well as out of town and state editions. Remember, for every 5 books sold, your family receives a FREE coupon book!  Let’s make this a successful sale for our school!

Christmas Present Ideas: The PTA has a new supply of RADA Kitchen knives and more!  Ask at the front office to see the items currently for sale.  Also, there are Wilhelmina mints from Holland ($2 per box), which make great stocking stuffers!  Finally, do not forget our school’s cookbook which is only $5 and contains many favorite Dutch recipes!

Pickup for Christmas Pie Fundraiser: LEO’S PIES will be available for PICK UP AT DISMISSAL on Wednesday, 12/20.  Please make arrangements to pick you pie up that day.  A sale of 1-2 pies will be/can be sent home with your student on the bus unless you pre-instruct differently.  Larger orders require personal pick up.  Questions can be directed to Shelley Morgan (mmorgan11@rochester.rr.com or 585-752-9773)or Melissa Tuccio (meltuccio@gmail.com or 585-289-7116).  Thank you.

Future Fundraisers:  PTA will be hosting a Bottle Drive to collect pop cans the week AFTER the super bowl.  Please begin saving cans/bottles through the holiday time!  Our school receives 6 cents for each can/bottle turned into the return center.

Please also save your change during this holiday shopping season!  In February, the PTA will be collecting the change for their Change for Education fundraiser.  Each classroom will be presenting the PTA with a “wish list” and the change collected.
