Welcome, everyone, to this new God-graced school year at East Palmyra Christian School. Our theme verse of Colossians 3:12b “…clothe yourselves with compassion…” will be forefront in the life of our school. May God’s way of living a holy way of life (compassion) be part of us daily!!

EPCS Soccer
Because we have such low soccer player numbers at the 5th – 8th grade level, EPCS will not field a
soccer team in the WNYCSAA this year. Several players have instead opted to play with the
Newark Middle School Modified team. We will try again next year!

Cleaning the School
The Barron family will be cleaning our school on Wednesday and the Teed family will be
cleaning on Friday. Is anyone available for this Thursday? Please contact the front office at
315.597.4400 or office@www.eastpalmyrachristianschool.com.

If you did not pay for cleaning when making your tuition payment in August, please contact Ms. B
in the front office about signing up for your cleaning days or make your cleaning payment to our
Financial Coordinator as soon as possible. She still has many, many dates open for families to
sign up for their volunteer cleaning days.

Hot Lunch!
Hot lunch will begin on Wednesday, 9/13. The cost is $2.50 and cash or checks can be sent into
the office. Please be sure to write “hot lunch” on the check memo line or on the outside of the
envelope if paying in cash. Sending in a check for $25 will buy 10 lunches (smaller increments are
ok too), which is suggested instead of paying weekly. The menu for the week will be in the school
door on Mondays so your child can choose ahead of time if they would like to purchase it that day.
If your child chooses not to purchase lunch, please be sure to pack them a lunch.

Welcome to new workers Carrie Billings, Michelle VandenBout, Colleen Andrews, Julie
Hernandez, and Donna Edmunds. We say thank you to Melissa Tuccio, Danelle Bell and Erin Van
Camp for their service last year. Thank you to Patty Teed for stepping up to lead the
5th Wednesday that occurs 3 times this school year. If you would like to bake a dessert to send in
for hot lunch (this counts towards volunteer hours), or be added to the sub list, please contact
Michelle Malach ASAP at 585-507-0870 or mrsmack@hotmail.com.

is interested in piano lessons, please contact me at mercerstephanie@hotmail.com or 585-703-

Volunteer in the Front Office
Ms. B is looking for volunteers to help with answering the front door and telephone between the

occasional Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 am. If you are interested please contact her at
315.597.4400 or office@www.eastpalmyrachristianschool.com.

First Grade News
Welcome to the first week of school!! I am so excited about my new class! We have so much to
talk about these first few days! Such as, how was their summer? What do they expect to learn this
year? What should be the rules in our classroom?

Also, our first bulletin board will be about “God sightings”, where do they see God?? They could
see God in nature, in the people of their church, in their family, etc. Please help them be specific.
This will be the only homework this week.

Music News
