The Progressive Era Project
PROGRESSIVE ERA MAGAZINE
Create a magazine that must include all of the following sections. The magazine must be presented in a magazine like format that includes factual information and creativity. It should include the following:
1. Cover: Your magazine cover should include artwork as well as a lead story and subtitles.
2. One political cartoon: The cartoon should be from the time period. You need to reproduce and format it to your magazine. The cartoon must be accompanied by a written analysis of the cartoonist’s point of view and meaning of the cartoon.
3. One interview with your Progressive Era person: Based on research about your person develop (think of) 5 questions and 5 answers for your written interview.
4. Two advertisements: from the time period (from newspapers or magazines). Include them in an advertisement section of your magazine.
5. One feature article: One written article that expresses ideas or opinions of your person that uncovers a problem associated with the Progressive Era.
6. Table of Contents: Include a clear and comprehensive list of the contents of your magazine.
